Information pursuant to Articles 12, 13, and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679

In accordance with EU Regulation 679/2016 concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, this administration, which has always prioritized the confidentiality, accuracy, availability, and security of personal data, provides the following information.

Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data is collected and processed as part of the normal administrative activities to fulfill both institutional, administrative, and accounting functions or for purposes closely related to the exercise of rights and powers held by the concerned parties and administrators. Data may also be processed for non-institutional functions.

The processing of personal data is lawful to the extent that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority, or for the fulfillment of a contract or service entrusted to the data controller.

Processing of Special Data and/or Personal Data Related to Criminal Convictions and Offenses

In the course of fulfilling specific institutional tasks, this entity may come into possession of data defined as "special" under EU Regulation 679/2016. This includes data that could reveal racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions, membership in political parties, trade unions, religious, philosophical, political, or trade union organizations, sexual life, and health status, as well as criminal convictions and offenses. The processing of this category of data for institutional purposes does not require the consent of the individual concerned.

If this entity processes such data for non-institutional purposes, explicit consent will be obtained from the individual concerned. The data will be processed in compliance with Law 07.06.2000, No. 150, "Regulation of the information and communication activities of public administrations."

The data will be processed using computer systems and/or manually, employing appropriate procedures to ensure the security, confidentiality, and availability of the data.

Providing the data is optional.

Consequences of Not Providing the Data

Failure to provide the data will result in this entity being unable to fulfill the requests made by the concerned individuals.

Data Disclosure

The data may be disclosed to all legal entities (offices, bodies, and public administration authorities, companies, or organizations) that are required or allowed to know it under applicable regulations, as well as to individuals who have the right to access the records or general data. In the case of special personal data and/or data related to criminal convictions and offenses, the disclosure will be made to the legal entities specified in the regulation for the processing of sensitive and judicial data (Data Protection Authority decision of 30.05.2005) and in the forms indicated therein.

Data Access

The data may be accessed by the data controller, processors, data protection officer, individuals responsible for processing personal data, and the system administrator of this entity.

Data Dissemination

The data will be disseminated only within the limits permitted by the regulations.

Duration of Data Processing and Retention of Personal Data

The processing described in this notice will continue only as long as necessary to fulfill the obligations imposed on the data controller by national and/or international laws, as well as the laws of the countries to which the data may be transmitted.

Rights of the Data Subjects

It is further noted that Articles 15 to 22 of the EU Regulation grant specific rights to the data subjects. In particular, data subjects may request from the data controller the following in relation to their personal data: the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 13, para. 2, letter d), the right of access (Art. 15), the right to rectification (Art. 16), the right to erasure – the right to be forgotten (Art. 17), the right to restrict processing (Art. 18), the right to be informed about rectification, erasure, or restriction (Art. 19), the right to data portability (Art. 20), the right to object (Art. 21), and the exclusion of automated decision-making including profiling (Art. 22), Art. 77 GDPR Right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Data Controller, Data Processor, Data Protection Officer

The data controller is Pa1 - Together for Africa EO, Weinbergweg 24, 39053 Steinegg (BZ), Tax ID: ; represented by the Chairman of the Board "pro tempore". The data processor, with domicile at the data controller's office, is also responsible for the data.

In case of interpretative issues concerning the privacy policy, the German version shall prevail.
